The three-day event kicks off on February 3rd in Assen, and will see players from all over the world compete in Men’s and Ladies singles and pairs competitions, as well as 3 youth events for under-18s.

All the action from the finals on Sunday 5th February will be broadcast live and for free by Winmau TV:

With over 4,600 players taking part in 2016, the Bauhaus Dutch Open is the biggest open darts tournament in the world and it carries a total prize fund of 33,500 euros. It will be televised in The Netherlands by RTV Drenthe and the winners will also qualify for the 2017 Winmau World Masters, the world’s longest running darts major.

Martin “Wolfie” Adams will be looking for a back-to-back hat trick of wins in the set play tournament, whilst Ladies champion, Lisa Ashton, will be looking to defend her title against a strong field, including local favourite and 2014 and 2015 champion, Aileen de Graaf.

Team Winmau will be well represented with Dutch sensation and 2017 Lakeside finalist Danny Noppert vying to win the title alongside fellow Winmau teammates Andy Fordham, Scott Waites, Trina Gulliver MBE and Scott Mitchell.

“The Dutch Open is a fantastic event and it will see the greatest players from the WDF/BDO system battling it out in the largest field of players anywhere in the world,” says Winmau’s Sales and Marketing Director, Ian Flack. “The NDB do an amazing job staging the event and promoting the sport in general and, if you can’t be there in person, catching all the action on Winmau TV is the next best thing.”
